Tribal Chair Clarinda Guzman with Te-Moak Battle Mountain Tribe celebrated Arbor Day, planting trees at Fandango Park. Subsequent trees were planted at the Admin Bldg, Enviro Bldg, Youth Bldg, Water Station, Community Bldg, Diabetes Center and Smoke Shop. Community members also received trees too. Funded by the Nevada Division of Forestry.

We partnered with Somos Votantes, CHISPA Nevada, Nevada Conservation League, Climate Action NV, and Native Voters Alliance in preparing for our rising heat by learning about the tools and opportunities we have to protect ourselves, our families, and our communities.

NFL Green Silverado Ranch Park with Commissioner Naft

We partnered with Commissioner Michael Naft, NFL Green, Las Vegas Super Bowl LV III Host Committee, Verizon, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and the Silverado Ranch Community Center to plant 12 trees near the new community center that is scheduled to open this spring at Silverado Ranch Park. Planting trees helps to increase shade and cooling and reduce urban heat island effects.

NFL Green Cesar Chavez Park with Commissioner Tick Segerblom

Las Vegas, Eastside

January 21st, 2024

We partnered with Commissioner Tick Segerblom, NFL Green, and RTC to plant 12 large trees at Cesar Chavez Park to increase shade and reduce the urban heat island effect. 50 locals also received trees to bring home and plant as part of a neighborhood beautification project.
